Cabo San Lucas

A quick getaway for some R&R

We spent four nights at Casa Dorada in a beautiful one-bedroom suite overlooking the bay. This was great for our 18-month old who could nap/sleep while we hung out in the lounge or on the huge balcony.

Boat Fun

For my husband’s birthday, we booked a private boat tour to see El Arco at the southern tip of Cabo with Rogers Glass Bottom Tours. Our son loved looking at the fish through the glass floor and it was great to see where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California.

We enjoyed wandering around the marina, looking at boats, stopping for a drink, and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The Puerto Paraiso Entertainment Plaza with a mall and cinema is also there so it’s a good place to eat, drink, shop, or just people watch.

Where We Ate

A Cabo expert friend of ours had recommended Tacos Guss so we had to give it a try. Hubby was happy! It’s a small place, brightly decorated, and has a local, no frills feel to it.

We enjoyed an evening meal at SUR Beach House and sat on the chic deck, enjoying the sea view.

Playa Medano

We loved walking along the shore of Playa Medano first thing in the morning, before the restaurants, bars, and tourist touts came out, asking if you wanted to try their product. Our last morning, we took a peaceful stroll down to the marina area and back again before taking our private shuttle to the airport. ¡Adiós, Cabo!
